The moments I like to capture usually fall somewhere between what we meant to do and what actually happened. That quiet middle ground between the intention and the unexpected, that’s where I like to work.
I’m Elana, a Toronto-based photographer with nearly a decade of experience photographing theatre, film, and the wider creative community. My work is collaborative and people-focused, always rooted in story, process, and the kind of trust that allows natural moments to surface.
I studied Film Production at York University, and I bring that same narrative sensibility into my photography. While I’m based in Toronto, I take on projects locally and globally.
